Voices for National Service
Voices for National Service is a coalition working to ensure Americans of all ages have the opportunity to serve and volunteer in their communities.

Corporation for National & Community Service
CNCS is a Federal Agency that engages millions of Americans in service through its three core programs – Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and the Social Innovation Fund.

Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness Program
The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on direct student loans after recipients make 120 qualifying monthly payments while working full-time for a federal, state, local or tribal government organization, non-profits, or serving in AmeriCorps or the Peace Corps.

National Health Service Corps
The NHSC provides loan repayment and scholarship awards to primary care clinicians who commit to serving in area with a shortage of health professionals.

City Year
Believing education has the power to help every student reach their potential, City Year partners with at-risk schools to help bridge the gap between what students need and what schools provide.

Student Conservation Association
SCA’s seeks to build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service.

Service Year
Service Year provides those figuring out what’s next after high school or college with paid opportunities to gain real-world skills through hands-on service to communities across the country.

Peace Corps
The Peace Corps allows participants to immerse themselves in a community abroad while working side by side with local leaders to tackle pressing challenges in a variety of issue areas.

Legal Services Corporation (Legal Aid)
Established by Congress in 1974, LSC promotes equal access to justice – reducing the justice gap that exists to meet the legal needs of low-income families and individuals – by funding high-quality civil legal assistance for low-income Americans. LSC is the single largest funder of civil legal aid for the poor in the country, employing over 9,000 individuals in 812 offices nationwide.

Mountain Rescue Association
The MRA is an organization of teams saving lives through mountain rescue and safety education. 100 teams of 2,000 qualified volunteers perform 5,000 search and rescue operations each year. MRA, with over 90 government authorized unites, has improved the quality, availability, and safety of mountain search and rescue, becoming a critical mountain search and rescue resource in the United States. James Mackler served on an MRA team in the Rocky Mountains for six years.
